During this lockdown, how and what you spend your time on dictates your personal growth.
Last Friday, I had my FIRST experience doing a Live IG workout session with @flyproject.co
Being the adventurous person that I am, I said YES to the opportunity to encourage more people to exercise now which is crucial in an unprecedented time like this.
I was paired with an instructor @lye31 and as a perfectionist, I requested the routines of the workout days before the session to get myself familiarised with the moves. Gotta thank my personal trainer @kevinkhaandor for being so patient with me while training me to get all my forms correct. We trained and trained for 5 days straight before I felt ready for it.
When the big day came, I was a little nervous to be honest as I have not done it before. I mean, I enjoy working out a lot but to assist in a workout session, is a whole different ballgame altogether. I wasn't very confident with myself and afraid that I wouldnt be able to keep up with the routine. What really helped was the moral support I gathered from my friends who told me that I can!
The session started out okay but along the way our wifi connection got unstable, the video started to lag and we had to attempt the live session 3 times! Viewership dropped, which happens because we know how annoying bad connection can be. But we knew the show had to go on so we kept going and pushing.
Really thankful for those who tuned in to the very end. You guys were amazing!! Thank you for making my "secret" dream come true!! I hope you all will continue to be active! For those of you who've just embarked on this fitness journey, please do not stop. It can be discouraging when you can't perform certain routines but trust me, if you keep practising and showing up, your body and soul will thank you for it.
